Oh Sunday brunch...the perfect excuse to booze it up early in the day. Trish and I started the day at Lodge in Brooklyn where I had French Toast with berries and she had biscuits and gravy. Like I said no brunch is complete without the hard stuff so I ordered a lemonade spiked with blueberry vodka. So fucking refreshing oh my god I wish I had one right now. Trish had a Hot Toddy, which later on she drank in a coffee cup on the streets of Brooklyn. So, secretive and breaking the law!
After that we took a walk along Grand Street where I had to throw down on some douchebag because he called Trish "Oriental". As in, "I've never had an oriental before." Ick. Nast. I screamed down the block something along the lines of "She's not a rug, asshole." Not very ladylike but as the misters in the relationship I feel the need to protect my woman. (Misters is equivalent of a mistress, we found there were no such words for a male mistress. UNFAIR!)
After that we ran into this giant dalmation pony and took pics with it until the owner came back and started creeping us out.
These bathtub planters and flowering trees along Grand Street made me believe that Spring was finally here! (Whiskey is in that cup!)
Eventually we made our way over to the Brooklyn Flea Market at the Williamsburg waterfront. I didn't buy anything but I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! Trish bought a really cool mirror faceplate for her lightswitch and on the way home, bought some really cute star tights. This elephant would look fucking SICK on my patio. We also split the best quesadilla that I've ever eaten in my life! Trish and I love a good taco. This Summer I predict many a trip to the Brooklyn Flea just for tacos and Union Pool just for queso. It's like that.

Martini Tasting
Stir NYC 1st between 73rd and 74th
Trish got us a couple's martini tasting (we're basically a couple). 2 martinis and 2 appetizers. Trish had blueberry and watermelon and I had key lime and chocolate. Mostly, I only drink dirty, filthy martinis but I couldn't resist the dessert flavors. Also we got bacon macaroni and cheese and crab cakes like a couple of fat kids.

A national holiday that I celebrated with my friend Dan, a pizza, a cookie cake, and a gallon of blackberry sweet tea.

Lesbian party! Here's the backstory; Jincey Lumpkin founder of JuiceyPinkBox.com (get it? Hehe!) is from my hometown of Jacksonville Florida. She is also a producer of lesbian porn starring real lesbians (as opposed to fake male fantasy lesbians.) I am strictly dickly, but I appreciate the concept. The theme of the party was French Kiss and Jincey looked hot in her Marie Antoinette garb. This woman is already like 7 feet tall so with the wig and the heels she a fucking amazon. Jincey and her ladies in waiting all got ready at Michael Angelo's Wonderland Beauty Parlor where I am the manager. Mitchell did all the wig stylings and Mayumi did the makeup. The party was AMAZING. 65 Greene between Spring and Broome. There were pastel paper fans, hot male bartenders in powdered wigs, endless pink champagne, cotton candy, jugglers, burlesque, and vogueing queens! I was wasted by 11...We came home with goody bags that contained lesbian porn DVD's. I plan on passing these along to my roomie. Sharing is caring!

Art Formerly Known as Prints
Get it? I hope so.
Art Formerly Known as Prints is the title given by my boss to the collection of prints by the Syracuse University Printmaking Department currently being displayed at Wonderland. On Friday we had an opening for the exhibition that included wine and spiked lemonade. I was working the event and Trish attended wearing House of Holland Star tights. That may seem irrelevant but they are so cool I had to mention them. The event had an excellent turn out and I got hit on by a very drunk printmaker. Also, Wonderland got tagged at some point during the night with " Fuck Yuppies " My boss was ecstatic! He posed in front of the graffiti giving a double middle finger and gleefully talked about Wonderland "finally looking like it's downtown."

OMG Spring is here! I think for real this time! Trish and I put on our bikinis, made ourselves some mimosas and laid out in the sun. Sweet, sweet vitamin D! After that, we headed out in search of Peeps and Cadbury Creme Eggs. Our search ended at the fancy CVS at the Bedford Stop on the L. We also found the time to put air in our bike tires and eat a taco (we love tacos. never forget.) at the Brooklyn Taco Company located inside Artists and Fleas. The rest of the afternoon it rained like crazy and we read magazines on the couch. The laziest of Brooklyn Sundays!
