Riding on the Bolt Bus to Boston!

Hello everyone,

I went for an impromptu visit to Boston with my friend, but not my best, AJ, and saw my cousin Chuong (talk about overuse of commas!!). It was my first time ever riding a bus to get to another city. I was thoroughly pleased as the Bolt bus was brand new and provided wireless access, as well as, plugs to charge our phones and laptops. It was a great ride and even better, $16 for both AJ and I! Later on, I will post pictures of our adventures in Boston and our hilarious trip on the way back to NYC!

Also, this is a picture on our night out when we found that Osama Bin Laden died! Didn't we look so great during this "historic" moment? I really believe that Osama is fake, made up character, but that's just me!

Trish is out of town...

so I had to amuse myself.

Today, I went to the Commes Des Garcon sample sale in Midtown. I still couldn't afford anything. Womp Womp.
Also I took video of myself looking very serious while cooking and listening to Wu Tang. Mostly because I wanted to use my 8mm app.

Oh and I bought a plane ticket to LA to visit Tiff and Tom in August!

Other things that happened this week.
I made sweet tea because I am a Southern Belle.
I drank a latte at the Standard Grille and had a pedicure meeting with my boss. That's right, a pedicure meeting.
I went to Yummus Hummus (the hummus is amazing, the owner is sexy) and ordered the "hummus hot". On the way home I saw this crazy awesome street art. Is it just me or is it a little unsettling?
I tried to watch one of my favorite movies ever, The Wedding Singer but my netflix DVD arrived cracked in half. The Wedding Singer is a comfort movie for me. It's like a film version of macaroni and cheese.
My ditzy roommate, Chheang told stories about asking his boss if milk really came from cows (he's 29), accidentally referring to a panini as a punani, and saying "eat her out" instead of "chew her out" YIKES!
I got engaged with a ring EXACTLY like Kate Middleton's. Ok, that's not true.

Santa Fe Nights

Frequently, I meet up with my 3 main gays Daniel, Neal, and Brian at a restaurant called Santa Fe on the UWS. Daniel is for sure my MAIN main gay even though he claims he's not. "Too much responsibility" (Actually we're systers, but that's a story for another day.)
These nights are just what the doctor ordered. It's a healthy balance of girltalk, sage advice from my elders, and getting roasted for having a vagina. Not to mention the endless blood orange margaritas! At the end of the night Brian takes care of the check and pays for my cab back to Brooklyn. This is more than most of my dates have ever done for me and I didn't even have to put out!
Here's a pic of Daniel photobombing at Santa Fe. I enjoy that the things in the background look like boobs.
And since Neal isn't in the pic here he is looking obnoxious(ly adorable.)

Sarwar. Accountant by day, non-stop party animal by night.

On Saturday night Trish and I were rolling with a posse (Gabby and AJ). It was my homie, Sarwar's Bday. Shit. Was. Crazy.
Backstory: Every time we hang out with Sar we get into some serious shenanigans. Example; stealing booze from a party while dressed as Pikachu (Trish) and Dorothy (me). We got busted when we high-fived too obviously. I just decided that I don't want to give any more incriminating examples...
N-E-WAYS... Sarwar's Bday. We started out at The Sixth ward on the LES where we kept it real chill. After that, we moved on to Miss Favela's in Williamsburg. Transportation provided by Sarwar's friend Vintech. Miss Favela is a brazilian dance club that is apparently the place to be on a Saturday night. The DJ mixed in some New Order, Soft Cell, and MIA with Samba music and we danced until the place closed at 4am. It was at the point in the night where everyone was sharing arrest stories, Vintech was telling us about his baby mama drama, and the creepers at the bar were starting to look desperate. Time to go home. Text conversation between me and Sarwar the next day:

Me: My whole body hurts. I think I danced too hard.
Sarwar: Yeah u danced like there was no tomorrow. My head is killing me.

I call that birthday party success!

P.S.
I would like to finish this post with my favorite picture ever.
